Eagles, Tigers split matches

    LIMESTONE — The Limestone-Maine School of Science and Mathematics hosted a tri-match with Fort Fairfield and Ashland last Thursday.

    Played at the Limestone Country Club, golfers had to contend with blustery wind conditions on an otherwise pristine day for golf. The wind caused some problems, particularly on the tee shots for several of the golfers.
    The match play scores were: Limestone-MSSM 7.5, Fort Fairfield 3.5, Ashland 7, Fort Fairfield 4, Ashland 7, Limestone-MSSM 4.
    Team stroke scores from the meet were: Ashland, 272;  Limestone-MSSM, 279; and Fort Fairfield, 292.
    Ashland’s Corella was medalist for the day with his low round of 45.
    The individual scoring results were as follows:
    Fort Fairfield (1-3) — Billy Weissman, 59; Ian Girvan, 63; Josh Churchill, 52; Landon Towle, 60; and Brandon Scott Clark, 58.
    Limestone-MSSM (1-2) — Josh Forsman, 48; Shane Flanigan, 57; Ty Tracy, 51; Julia Weatherhead, 65; and Nate Berube, 58.
    Ashland —Carella, 45; Beaulier, 50; Cyr-Cormier, 56; Condon, 51; and Ward, 70.
