These two beige kittens of the B litter, Betty and Bobby are still available for adoption at their Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home. It would be nice if the siblings could remain together, however, they also do well apart from each other. The adoption fee is $40 for one and only $20 for the second, if adopted together. The pair are leukemia tested, have had their first two distemper shots, three wormings, have been cleared of ear mites, fleas and ticks as well as treated for exposure issues from their birth-site. Betty and Bobby will have fully-paid spay/neuter vouchers upon their adoption. More than $200 of medical care was given to save each kitten. Only three of the six kittens survived their abandonment issues. The Halfway Home Pet Rescue staff have announced that the 501c3 non-profit status has been granted by the IRS to the organization and backdated as effective Feb. 25, 2009. Although the business was previously set-up as a Maine state non-profit corporation in Jan. 2009, it was necessary to wait for the Federal IRS 501c3 status to be awarded before any spay/neuter grants could be written.
