UMPI teams playoff bound

    The University of Maine at Presque Isle volleyball team and men’s and women’s soccer teams will participate in Sunrise Conference championships this weekend.     The Owl volleyball team will be involved in a tri-match tournament at St. Joseph’s College in Standish. At 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, UMPI will play the winner of the UM-Machias vs. UM-Fort Kent match for the title.
    The soccer final four is set for Scarborough High School Friday and Saturday. The Owl men, seed fourth, will take on No. 1 UM-Fort Kent at 2 p.m. Friday. The UMPI women’s squad, the No. 2 seed, meets up against third-ranked SUNY-Canton Friday at 4 p.m. The championship match will be played Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m.
