PRESQUE ISLE — Dick Anderson, president of the Maine chapter of the International Appalachian Trail/Sentier International des Appalaches(IAT/SIA), and Walter Anderson, chief geologist for the IAT/SIA, will present a talk on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the UMPI Campus Center, for those interested in learning about the international Appalachian trail. The program includes a discussion of the geological underpinning of the trail, the geography of the present route and plans for future expansion. Pictures of maps, sights along the trail and historical events will be featured as part of the talk — offered through the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s “Adventures in Recreation” series. All are invited to attend this free presentation. For information, contact Dr. Anja Whittington at 768-9537.
