RETIREMENT DAY — Frederick E. Anderson took down the American flag for the last time as postmaster on Oct. 30 in front of the Island Falls Post Office after 25 years’ of service.  On Monday, Nov. 16, local postmasters, former colleagues, family and his closest friends gathered at The Horn of Plenty Restaurant in Houlton to celebrate his career and retirement.
