To the editor:
The students of Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill sponsored a breakfast as a tribute to area veterans and we are writing to publicly commend them. Not only was the meal very good, but the service provided by the student wait staff was extremely courteous, friendly and accommodating. In fact, the students went out of their way to please, far exceeding our expectations. We were very impressed with the program following the breakfast, and in particular, the music provided by the students. The talent that was exhibited was outstanding, a compliment to the participants and to their music director.
In today’s world, we see and hear so much about negative behavior and attitudes among young people, and we were so pleased to see that SAD 42’s students seem to be a welcome and extremely pleasant exception. The behavior of all of the students during the program, high school and elementary alike (who attended as guests), was commendable. Their conduct was perfect; they were quiet, respectful, polite and truly interested in the program. Their behavior was a real credit to their parents and the staff of SAD 42, and to their communities as a whole.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would like to commend the students and staff of SAD 42 for everything they did to make the breakfast the success that it was. Kudos and thank you to everyone involved.
