Deidre Cushman of Mars Hill and Shane Clark of Mapleton were married August 8, 2009, at the State Road Advent Christian Church with Pastor Nathan Gardiner Celebrant. A wedding reception was held at the Shriners Club in Presque Isle and a honeymoon trip was taken in the North Maine woods camping.
The bride is the daughter of W. Warren and Sherri Cushman of Mars Hill. The groom is the son of Russell and Loretta Clark of Mapleton.
The maid of honor was Damie Cushman, sister of the bride, of Mars Hill. Bridesmaids were Amanda Cushman, Sarah Alexander, Alisha Boyd all of Mars Hill, and Cassie Lovely of Easton. Sheridan Boucher of Mapleton served as flower girl. Tyler Clark of Mapleton, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Zach Smith of Westfield, Matt Gale of Bangor, Chad Robertson of Presque Isle and Jon McCrum of Mars Hill. Ring bearers were Carson and Ethan Cushman of Mars Hill.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine Fort Kent in Nursing (RN, BSN). She currently works at TAMC as a Labor & Delivery nurse. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Presque Isle High School and a 2007 graduate of UMPI in Business Management. He currently works at Cavendish Farms as an Assistant Farm Manager.
The couple is making their home in Chapman.
