1965 – In the October 14 issue of the Star-Herald, Sidney Graves announces the winner of the slogan contest. Bill McKeen, art director of WAGM-TV submitted the winning entry of “Star City of the Northeast”. McKeen felt that this would evolve into the nickname of “Star City” for Presque Isle.
