PRESQUE ISLE — A local business is teaming up with several area vendors this Saturday to host an event designed to help a number of organizations have a brighter Christmas, and they’re counting on the public’s generosity to do so.

“We’re gearing up for our second annual charity fund-raiser. The event is planned for Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kitchen & Bath Shop on the Reach Rd.,” said Kelly Mathes, co-owner of the Presque isle business.
Joining Mathes for the festivities will be consultants who’ll offer product demonstrations and tips, from lines including cookware, cosmetics and jewelry.
“This year’s vendors will include Kathy Dubay with Pampered Chef, Kelly Clark from Tastefully Simple, Lori Kenneson of Mary Kay, Shelley McHatten with Tupperware, Kim Finnemore of Scentsy and Amy Dugall from Silpada jewelry. We’ll also have someone on hand from the Wintergreen Arts Center,” said Mathes. “We’ll have distributors from all over — mostly Caribou and Presque Isle — displaying their wares, giving demonstrations, answering questions.”
Funds raised will benefit local non-profits.
“The proceeds will go to various agencies, including, among others, Wintergreen Arts Center, breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness and prevention. Those are our three biggest causes,” said Mathes.
Mathes and all the vendors are looking forward to a fun time, with good conversation, demonstrations and refreshments. For more information, call 769-9990.
