Masonic officers installed in Limestone

    On January 9, 2010, Limestone Lodge No. 214 held its 2010 semi-public, installation of officers, which included Brother Paul Poitras, senior deacon; Bro. Tim Poitras, worshipful master; Bro. John Hotelling, tyler; Bro. Brent O’Neal, marshal; Bro. Jon Poitras, senior warden; Bro. Aaron Giberson, junior warden; Bro. Nickolas Poitras, senior steward; Bro. Randall Hopkins, junior deacon; Wor. Bro. Mike Dugal, junior steward; Wor. Bro. Shane Theriault, treasurer; and Wor. Bro. Robert Hancock, historian. The Secretary, Wor. Bro. John Irovando, and Chaplain, Wor.  Bro. Philip Adams were unable to attend and will be installed at a later date.

    The Odes to the Master and Wardens were sung by Cindy Edgecomb who, along with her husband Fred, entertained those in attendance with a number of musical selections, including one piece which was written by Fred Edgecomb.
    Wor. Bro. Robert Hancock presented both Brandon O. Hopkins and Parker A. Rossignal with $500 scholarships, respectively, from the Masonic Lodge No. 214.
    Wor. Bro. Shane Theriault presented Nicholas Whitehead, an Eagle Scout, with a plaque recognizing his achievements. As a sponsor of the Scouts, the Limestone Lodge offers financial support and provides a meeting place for the Scouts in Limestone.
    The new master gave a short talk on his plans for the coming year and thanked all of the brethren who assisted him and had confidence in his ability to lead the lodge in 2010. He also gave a special thanks to his family for all their help and support.
    “Limestone Lodge No. 214 is looking forward to a very good  year under the capable guidance of our newly installed officers,” said Bro. Clifford Boaz. “Approximately 42 brethren and guests were present for the enjoyable event, which was concluded with refreshments in the dining room.”
