Writer seeks military stories

The 152d Field Artillery was organized and federally recognized May 15, 1922 in the Maine National Guard in northeastern Maine as the 1st Battalion, 152nd Field Artillery, with headquarters in Houlton, an element of the 43d Division.
Many stories are shared among those who are aligned with the 152d Field Artillery, and Deborah Rafford of Houlton wants to pen those stories and capture photographs of the division to publish in a new book.
“I would like to have a page dedicated to each of the men and women who have served,” she said. “I would like to have an individual photograph, name, rank and a one-page summary of time spent with the 152nd FA.”
Whether the time was abroad or at home, Rafford wants to share those memories with readers. She is also looking for group photographs, along with names of those in the pictures, as well as any other information someone would like to share with her.
Rafford can be reached by e-mailing raffdeb@hotmail.com.
