Officials with the County Federal Credit Union recently presented a $1,000 Count on the County award to Homeless Services of Aroostook. Making the presentation were, from left: Ryan Ellsworth, executive vice president CFCU; Dan Bagley, Presque Isle branch manager; Susan Mitchell, executive director Homeless Services of Aroostook; Stacy Edgecomb, Caribou branch supervisor; and Ken Hensler, president/CEO County Federal Credit Union.
Homeless Services of Aroostook has seen a startling increase in the number of clients needing its help, including entire families displaced by domestic violence and disputes, according to Susan Mitchell, project director.
The $1,000 award will help support the Homeless Services of Aroostook’s shelter with supplies, medical co-pays and greatly needed transportation services for clients.
The County Federal Credit Union (CFCU) “Count on The County” Initiative will be awarding $1,000 to a non-profit organization in Aroostook County within the field of membership each month for the next twelve months.
CFCU encourages everyone to take part in this initiative by telling us who you think is most deserving. Residents of the region can nominate their non-profit organization at www.countyfcu.org.
Eligible submissions must be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in good standing.
