A No School Day Field Trip will take place on Friday, Feb. 5. We will be heading out for a day of ice skating, swimming and lunch at Pizza Hut. The only cost to you is your child’s lunch and ice skate rentals ($1). If your child is 12 and under, lunch is $6, kids over $12 will have to pay the adult rate of $9. The bus will depart at 10:30 a.m. and return at 3 p.m.
A release form must be on file to attend.
All-Star Gymnastics will be offering an eight-week session of gymnastics classes from Feb. 3 and running through March 31 at the gym in Mars Hill. The cost is $40 or $30 for each additional child from the same family. Classes will be held in Mars Hill but transportation will be provided.
Class will run from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. (with another class added if necessary). Open to ages 4 and up. Pre-registration is required.
Mark your calendars for Easton Recreation Department’s Winter Carnival on Feb. 25, 26 and 27. Activities will include laser tag, family game night, a cribbage tournament, sliding party, community supper, mother-daughter/father-son basketball games and more!
Wednesday, Feb. 3 — Junior activities (for ages 2 through ECP) at the hall from 9:30-11 a.m. Senior exercise class starting at 1 p.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Gymnastics class in Mars Hill starting at 3:15 p.m. The bus will depart directly after school and pre-registration is required. The cost is $40. Grades 5 and 6 girls’ basketball practice from 2:45 to 4 p.m. in the Easton Elementary School gym.
Thursday, Feb. 4 — Seniors’ game day in the recreation room at the manor starting at 11 a.m. Please bring a bag lunch. Boys Only after-school program at the hall until 4:15 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 5 — No junior activities today!
Saturday, Feb. 6 — Team photo day for all recreation basketball and cheerleading teams. Little Bears’ grades’ 1 and 2 practice from 9-10 a.m. Little Bears’ grades’ 3 and 4 practice from 10-11:15 a.m.; 5th- and 6th-grade boys practice from 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; 5th- and 6th-grade girls practice from 12:30-1:45 p.m. All practices take place at the Easton Elementary School gym.
Monday, Feb. 8 — Senior nutrition class in the recreation room at the manor at 11 a.m. The cost is $2 and lunch will be provided. Cross-country skiing after school until 4:15 p.m. at the Ferris’s home on Ladner Rd. Little Bears’ basketball games — 1st and 2nd graders will play at 6 p.m. and 3rd and 4th grades at 6:30 p.m.
