TEAM OF THE YEAR —The Southern Aroostook Minor Hockey Association (SAMHA) Bantam team, coached by Dave Wilson, won Camden National Bank’s Youth Hockey Team of the Year. The team was treated to a University of Maine hockey game versus the University of New Brunswick at the University of Maine in Orono.
Camden National Bank and the University of Maine arranged a talk with Coach Whitehead, head coach of the UMO Black Bears, as well as a tour of Alfond Arena. Coach Whitehead encouraged the kids to pursue hockey, but never to forget the importance of education. At the game were, from left, front row, Chase Brewer, Ethan Nickerson, Chenise Tingley, Alaina Stewart, Lucas Grant and coaches Wilson and Whitehead; second row, Brandon Malone, Tyler Bartlett, Josh Sullivan, Steven Phillips and Jesse Tracy; back row, Alex Carr, Gage Hunt and Alex Casillas.

HONORED – Coach Dave Wilson, left, of the SAMHA Bantams, along with assistant captains Josh Sullivan, Gage Hunt, Brandon Malone and captain Lucas Grant, accompanied Camden Bank representatives on the Alfond Arena ice for an introduction as being named Camden National Bank’s Youth Hockey Team of the Year before the Black Bears beat New Brunswick, 4-1.
