PIACC names 2010 honorees

    PRESQUE ISLE — Preparations are under way for the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and recognition dinner, to be held Thursday, Feb. 25. 

    “The PIACC will be hosting their annual meeting, which includes the Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards banquet. This year the theme of the Recognition Dinner will be “Unlimited Opportunities,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director of the Chamber.
    This year’s award recipients include: Lifetime Achievement Award, John H. Graves; Citizen of the Year, Kim Smith; and Business of the Year, Braden Theatre.
    This year’s festivities will be held at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center.
    “The business meeting, which will be attended by Chamber members only, will begin at 5:30 p.m. The social will be open to all those attending and will begin at 5:45 p.m., with dinner and entertainment at 6:30 p.m.,” Fowler said.
    The cost is $35 per individual, $65 per couple and $240 per table of eight.
    “The buffet includes roasted sirloin of pork, haddock casserole and roasted chicken breast. Reservations are required and reserved seating is limited to tables of eight only,” said Fowler.
