Crystal and Jocelyn Bell competed in the MRPA/Red Claws Maine Hot Shot Competition on March 7 at the Portland Expo.
The sisters are the daughters of Presque Isle natives Calvin and Jackie (Park) Bell, the granddaughters of Clarence and the late Arlene Bell and Larry and Edith Park. The sisters, living in Holden and representing Brewer, exhibited exceptional shooting skills with Crystal winning the girls 9-10 division and Jocelyn placing third in the girls 11-12 age division. The competitors at the state competition were recognized on the court at the March 7 Maine Red Claws game against Sioux Falls.
