Thirteen vie for Little Miss

PRESQUE ISLE — An abundance of talented young ladies will take to the stage of Presque Isle High School’s Auditorium on Saturday, April 3, hoping to take home the title of Little Miss Presque Isle 2010. A total of 13 contestants have stepped up to the challenge — one of the largest number of entries for the annual competition, hosted by the United Way of Aroostook.

A BAKER’S DOZEN – Thirteen Little Miss contestants will compete for the 2010 title on Saturday, April 3. Participants include, from left, in front: Taylor Skidgel, Hana Boucher, Rachel Ellis, Rebekah Poliero, Delaini Huston, Sydney Robichaud and Sipsis Paul. Joining outgoing Little Miss Presque Isle 2009 Molly Kingsbury for an evening of fun will be:
• Sydney Robichaud, daughter of Tony and Jennifer Robichaud, who will perform a vocal selection for her talent;
• Delaini Bell Huston, daughter of Shawn and Torri Huston, performing a dance routine;
• Sophia Lambert, daughter of James and Barbara Lambert, will entertain by tap dancing;
• Sipsis Alonza Paul, daughter of Nicholas and Waupi Paul, will perform a Native American dance;
• Taylor Skidgel is the daughter of Don Skidgel and Shawna Page. She will be tap dancing for her talent;
• Emma Postell, daughter of Rick and Michelle Postell, will demonstrate her dancing skills;
• Kacie Chapman, daughter of Travis and Kellie Chapman, will perform a vocal selection;
• Rachel A. Ellis is the daughter of Roger and Colleen Ellis. She will be singing for her talent presentation;
• Elise Nelson, daughter of Matthew and Laurie Nelson, will dance during the talent portion of competition;
• Meagan Grant, daughter of Terrance and Kimberly Grant, will perform a monologue;
• Hana Boucher is the daughter of Daryl and Stacy Boucher. She will be singing for her talent;
• Alana Legassie, daughter of Herman and Robin Legassie, has opted for a vocal performance; and
• Rebekah C. Poliero, daughter of Robert Poliero and Jennifer Kich, will read a poem during the talent portion of the pageant.
The competition gets under way at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the contestants or at the door.
