The 1st District Masters & Wardens Association, representing Masons from eight lodges in Aroostook County, recently donated $2,000 to Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp. One thousand dollars that was raised in the District was matched with $1,000 from the Grand Lodge of Maine to fund the donation. District Deputy Grand Master Ken White, right, made the presentation to Jack Foster, ATLC program coordinator and Caribou High School students Marigan Doody and Josh Kovach on March 22 at Caribou Lodge No.170 AF&AM.

ATLC is a leadership development and drug prevention program serving teens in grades 6-9 in Aroostook County consisting of a five-day residential summer camp in Limestone, followed by a variety of activities during the school year designed to develop and strengthen leadership skills learned during summer camp. Follow-up activities also provide a support network for teens who want to be drug-free.
Tickets are $20 each and only 700 of them are being sold.  The winning tickets will be drawn 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, in the Food Court at the Aroostook Centre Mall. All are welcome to attend the event. Winners do not have to be present and will be contacted following the drawing.
The prizes include a 2010 Viking 106 Pop-Up Camper provided by Griffeth RV Center and a weekend at Wilderness Pines Campground in Monticello and much more.
Any questions or for more information on the fund-raiser or camp, call either Mandy Kilcolins or Jack Foster at 498-6431.
