Choral Society’s Spring Concert

    Dan Ladner, conductor of the Caribou Choral Society, has announced that this year’s Spring Concert will feature a combination effort of both the choral society and the Northern Maine Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Sue Herold of Fort Fairfield.     During the Spring Concert event the vocal selections will include, “The Awakening,” “You Raise Me Up,” “That’s Entertainment’” “Down by the Riverside,” and “Ride the Chariot.”
    Ladner said the choral group will join with the orchestra for the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “The Anvil Chorus,” “Faure’s Pavan,” Introductory chorus from the opera, “Cavalleria Rusticana,” and end the concert with “God Bless America.”
    The annual spring event will be held  at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 1, at the Holy Rosary Church in Caribou and on Sunday, May 2, at 3 p.m. in the Student Center at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Everyyone is welcome.
