James M. Pipes, 81, of BANGOR, ME and HAINES CITY, FL, passed away on April 20, 2010, at his residence in Haines City due to COPD. He was born December 17, 1928, in Corrina, ME, to Millard and Ruby Hovey Pipes and has been wintering in Haines City for 10 years.
James was a financial consultant having worked for several companies; he was a Christian and a veteran of the US Army serving post WW II. He was the President of the Lion’s Club and the Country Club in Presque Isle, and he was active in the Republican Party.
James was predeceased by his parents; wife, Lois Pipes; and brother, Robert Pipes.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew Pipes of Maine and Barton Pipes of New York; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
