    PRESQUE ISLE – On March 11-12, 32 students from the Presque Isle Regional Career and Technical Center (PIRCTC) SkillsUSA traveled to Bangor for SkillsUSA competitions. The following students competed, with medalists noted: 

    Rici Hoyt, Brittany Lovely (silver medal in job interview), Brooke Long-Postell, Kacey Webber, Macie Tompkins, Naiomi Donovan (gold medal in promotional bulletin board), Lorraine Hughes (gold medal in promotional bulletin board), Ashley Soucy (silver medal in customer service), Liana Cao (silver medal in related technical math), Mariah Hanning, Chris Cawley, Emma Lunney, Jason Martin (bronze medal in technical drafting), Lucas Chandler, Brycen Brown, Timothy Lawerence (silver medal in masonry), Lucas Boucher (gold medal in masonry), Caitlin Fowler (silver medal in photography), Mackenzie Lamoureux, Mackenzie Pinette (gold medal in photography), Thomas Pickance, Cassie Murchison (gold medal in preschool teacher assistant), Dustin White (bronze medal in Web design), Jacob Brawn (bronze medal in Web design), Abram Brewer, Dylan Mountain (gold medal in employment application process), Nate Hackworth (gold medal in Web design), Dan Sipe (gold medal in Web design), Jessica Stepp (gold medal in pin design), Annie Johnson (bronze medal in T-shirt design), Brandon Tenney (gold medal in chapter display) and Josh Nickerson (gold medal in chapter display).
    This year, PIRCTC came home with a total of 20 medals, 11 of them were gold. This is also a record for SkillsUSA Adviser Amy White, who has been the adviser for five years. PIRCTC also won the spirit award. The theme for the spirit award was “The County Hicks.”
