Barb Hayslett of Fort Fairfield receives the hand-made bird feeder she held the winning raffle ticket for from Nancy Chandler, president of the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum. Tickets were sold on the birdfeeder and a $1,000 savings bond during the annual Chocolate Festival sponsored by the CCDM and during the recent Presque Isle Kiwanis Home and Recreation Show. Hayslett had purchased her ticket at the Chocolate Festival. The intricately designed birdfeeder was donated to the CCDM by Bill Landis. The winning tickets for the bond and the birdfeeder were drawn by Haley Smith of Presque Isle. Smith volunteered at the CCDM booth and is presently working with the CCDM to achieve her Girl Scout Gold Award.
