Long-time Katahdin High School science and math teacher Terry Duffy, pictured with his pre-calculus class, was recently named Science Teacher of the Year by the Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation. Duffy was presented the award at a dinner attended by Governor Baldacci, UMO President Dr. Kennedy and many Maine company CEO’s. He was nominated for this award by former UMO student body president and present Senior Skull Owen McCarthy, a former student of Duffy.
