Serving public on Chamber’s schedule
Special to the Star-Herald
PRESQUE ISLE — Summer is here and life is busy for everyone. This is also the time of year that provides opportunities for all of our members to be involved in Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce activities and talk to fellow members plus members of the general public.
On Saturday, June 12, we will be opening our new facility at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds. With the help of Lowe’s, Rathbun Lumber, Bill Corson and a number of other people, we have a new facility from which to serve our baked potatoes.
We will be operating for the first time for the truck pull this Saturday. The pull starts at 6 p.m., so it will be a relatively short time to work.
We can always use extra hands and would welcome your assistance as we get organized and up and running.
We urgently need help making and delivering strawberry shortcake on June 24. We have been very fortunate in the past to have business representatives help out with both tasks. If you can help for one hour or eight hours, we can use your aid again this year. Please contact me by June 10 at 764-6561.
There will be many opportunities to work together to promote the area in the next few months. Please think about joining us so we can continue to provide the services we do and add more.
