husson president to visit presque isle
PRESQUE ISLE — Dr. Robert A. Clark, new president of Husson University, will be visiting Presque Isle on June 21-22. He will be making numerous visits to alumni living and working in the area and will be holding a public forum at the University’s site located at Northern Maine Community College at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at the Keegan Conference Room in Reed Commons. Clark will be discussing his first 100 days at the helm of the University and will discuss plans for the University’s presence in Aroostook County.
Clark is a Maine native having grown up in Albion.He earned a B.A. in Spanish, B.S. in business administration and an MBA from the University of Maine. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from Purdue University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Prior to his appointment at Husson, he was vice president of strategic initiatives and dean of the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville in Indiana. Clark has also held academic appointments as a faculty member in finance and global business at Butler University; The University of Tampa and the University of Vermont. He is a veteran of the United State Army, having served as a U.S. Army administrative officer, consultant, pension administrator and controller.
Clark has served as a Fulbright Scholar at the Norwegian School of Management and as a Guest Faculty member at the Business and Economics University in Vienna. He has published articles on securities market regulation and emerging markets in a number of academic journals and serves on the BusinessWeek Academic Advisory Panel.
