CASTLE HILL — Three individuals have been charged in connection with the June 6 invasion of a residence owned by Floyd and Betty Ellis.
“On June 8, Trooper Todd Stetson and Det. Dale Keegan of the Maine State Police, with the assistance of the Presque Isle Police Department, arrested two individuals for their involvement in a home invasion that occurred on the State Road in Castle Hill on June 6,” said Sgt. Brian Harris, MSP.
Two males, an adult and a juvenile, were charged for the crime.
“Arrested were Dustin Sutton, 22, of Presque Isle, who was charged with burglary, theft and violation of conditions of release, and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Presque Isle who was charged with burglary and theft,” said Harris.
Harris said the 16-year-old was also charged with a separate burglary and theft that occurred at that same residence in April.
Police continued to look for a third individual believed to be involved in the invasion. By June 10, a third person was in custody.
“Early the morning of June 10, Maine State Police, with the assistance of the Presque Isle Police Department, arrested the remaining suspect from the home invasion in Castle Hill,” said Harris.
A 27-year-old Presque Isle man, Robert Fitzsimmons, was taken into custody and charged with burglary in connection with the June 6 incident.
Stetson served as lead investigator on the case.
The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in the investigation.
