Ronald Ovilla Levesque, 59, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 20, 2010.
Ron was born on November 25, 1950 in Van Buren, Maine. He attended Caribou High School in Caribou, Maine. Ron traveled for work with his young family before settling in the Fishkill, NY area.
For the past 16 years Ron was president of Villa Concrete Inc., a mausoleum company that he proudly owned with his son, Bond J. Levesque.
Ron is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Paige Kimberly; his father, Ovilla Joseph Levesque; his mother, Antoinette Miller and step father, Donald W. Miller; his brother, Gerald Levesque.
Ron is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Susan Joslyn Levesque; his best friend and partner, his son, Bond Joseph; his special daughter–in-law, Colene, and two precious granddaughters, Cleo Antoinette and Lillian Elenor, who he loved so dearly; a special aunt, Jean Beaulieu; two nephews, Ching and Jay, who considered their Uncle Ron as a father; a brother Roy; sister-in-law Margaret; a sister Arlene; brother-in-law Bob; a sister-in-law Irene; his mother-in-law, Cleo Joslyn, who he respected and loved very much; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carleton and Andrea (Joslyn) Tidd of Hodgdon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Polly Joslyn of Monticello, and Keith and Wanda Joslyn of Robinson; Aunt Luella Leavitt of Gardiner and Monticello.
Ron will always be remembered by family and friends as a generous, giving man. He always helped people in any way he could. Ron was a hard worker all his life, and a self taught man. He loved classical cars, enjoyed car shows and loved his Harley. Everyone that knew Ron knew his love for animals, especially his dogs Cisco IV and Max.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, NY from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
A Funeral Service followed at 1 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, in the building built by Ron and Bond.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the “Friends of the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Inc.”, P.O. Box 977, Poughkeepsie, NY 12602 for maintaining and promoting the beauty and history of the grounds where Ron and his beloved daughter will rest.
