Shirley worked for many years at Faxton Hospital in Utica, N.Y. before being disabled from a back injury that slowed her down, but never stopped her. She loved hanging out with her friends in Utica and going to Bingo. She lived a good life and was a tough cookie right up to the end. She lived most of her life in Utica where she raised and cared for her children as a single mom, before her daughter and son-in-law brought her to live with them in Northern Maine, where she spent the last five years. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her but she is now where she longed to be, with her Mom and Dad and all of her brothers and sisters in Heaven, and her pain is forever gone.
