WILCOX, Christine D. (Johnston), 82, EASTON, July 1, 2010. A private graveside service will be held at Estes Park Cemetery in Easton. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
EASTON – Christine D. Wilcox, 82, died July 1, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born in Presque Isle on March 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Elmer and Juanita (Hoyt) Johnston. She graduated from Easton High School in 1947.
Christine worked at several jobs, including Valhsings, the Easton Town Office, ACAP and for over 30 years at the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging, where she enjoyed working with the elderly and the many dear friends she met along with her bosses and co-workers.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fred Wilcox of Easton; and two daughters, Lona LaFrancis and her husband Fred of Castle Hill, and Lisa Tompkins of Easton; two sons, Roger Wilcox and his wife Lorraine of Westfield, and Rodney Wilcox of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren, Stacy Hickey, Megan Wilcox, Brittany Tompkins, Katelyn Tompkins, Zachery Wilcox, Hannah Kilcollins, T.J. Turley; and a sister-in-law, Angie Johnston.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Glennis Gunn, Ruth Willard and Charlotte Johnston; three brothers, Kendall (Cappy) Johnston, Samuel Johnston and Robert Johnston.
A private graveside service will be held at Estes Park Cemetery in Easton, with the Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle. Online condolences can be made at www.duncan-graves.com.
