A construction project in Presque Isle on the Connector Road between Parsons and Main streets earlier this spring provided an opportunity for Maine Department of Transportation crews from throughout the state to learn bridge repair techniques firsthand. Here, more than a dozen workers from as far away as Bangor gathered for a training exercise, just days before the job was completed. Individuals passing through the construction zone may have wondered why so many workers were on site; now they know the rest of the story.
