Rain does little to dampen
fund-raising spirit

A LITTLE RAIN didn't dampen the spirits of participants in this year's Paws for the Cause Walk. With hoods up and umbrellas held high, walkers made the trip around the Industrial Park in Presque Isle without a hitch.
PUPPPY TALES — Donna Thibault and her 'kids', Yoko and Willow — two dogs she adopted from the shelter several years ago — took part in this year's walk. Yoko, pictured in the stroller, is too little to walk the route, but Willow made the journey like a trooper.
KELLY O'MARA, at left, and her three dogs — Geri and Sadie, both English springers, and Harvey, a golden retriever — joined dozens of others at this year's Paws for the Cause Walk. Despite the rain, organizers deemed the event a success, with about $1,000 raised for the Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle.
