Sale coincides with festival

PRESQUE ISLE — For those who missed the first city-wide yard sale, it’s not too late to clean out that closet, den or basement and take part in yet another city-wide event.
“The Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce and Crown of Maine Balloon Fest will be sponsoring a city-wide yard sale on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director, PIACC.
Fowler said there is no charge to participate. To get on the map, all that’s required is for participants to contact the Chamber.
“Contact the Chamber by Aug. 15 if you are interested in being part of the yard sale,” said Fowler.
Maps will include the specific location of each sale, allowing those hunting for a bargain the ability to plan their route of attack.
“Names and locations will be placed on the map, which will be available by Aug. 23 at the PIACC office, 3 Houlton Rd., Presque Isle,” said Fowler.
