To the editor:
From July 14-17th, the community of Presque Isle along with the University of Maine at Presque Isle hosted the 35th National Institute of Rural Social Work and Human Services. To a person, the conference attendees spoke about the friendliness, courtesy, and generosity they experienced wherever they went.
Over 100 people from 34 states and three countries spent up to five days here. The local eateries, hotels, and shops all did what they do best … provided professional, high quality services that impressed and delighted these summer visitors.
Congratulations and thanks to all who made this visit to the County such a positive and memorable experience.
