HOULTON — People interested in taking on leadership roles in organizations or in communities may want to explore one of the many opportunities offered by the University of Southern Maine’s Leadership and Organizational Studies programs. The University of Southern Maine will present an overview of their certificates and degree programs and discuss relevant career opportunities. The presentation will be held at University College – Houlton on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 4 – 6 p.m.
Topics to be covered will include the graduate and undergraduate Certificates in Leadership, the B.S. in Leadership and Organizational Studies, and the Masters in Leadership Studies.
Many of the courses are available in a fully online format. A number of courses are offered in a blended (50 percent or more online) as well. The program draws professionals from nonprofit, corporate, and civic sectors and provides a solid, advanced level grounding in leadership theory.
