Betty Hanning Lynch

    MONTICELLO – Betty Hanning Lynch, 85, passed away August 5, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 4, 1924 at Monticello, the daughter of Harry and Hilda (Bulley) Hanning.
    Betty graduated from Monticello Grammar School and Presque Isle High School.  She worked at Northeast Publishing Company for 11 years, Department of Human Services for 3 years and Aroostook County Action Program for 13 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother.
    Betty is survived by three children; Nicholas Lynch and his wife, Evelyn of West Gordan, UT, Michael Lynch and his wife, Brenda of Limestone, Kevin Lynch and his wife, Merita of Lynn, MA; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Kimberly, John, Jerod, April and Debbie; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her husband, John, granddaughter Kimberly, daughter of Michael and Brenda, and sisters Estemma Vose and Daphine Shorey.
    In keeping with Betty’s request, there will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Mars Hill, Tuesday 11 a.m. with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating. Interment was in the Foster Cemetery, Monticello. Gifts may be made in Betty’s memory to the Logan Graves Foundation, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, ME 04730.
