At the Northern Maine Fair & Music Festival

    FOLLOWING SATURDAY NIGHT’S demolition derby held at the Northern Maine Fair & Music Festival, Wendell Purvis of Tallahassee, Fla., one of the pilots who will be participating in the seventh annual Crown of Maine Balloon Fest, held a balloon glow in front of the grandstand. Balloon glows are always a crowd pleaser as the hot air balloons’ envelopes illuminate showing off their true colors. Spectators were also allowed to approach Purvis’ balloon, Tracer, for a close-up view. This year’s Balloon Fest will be held Aug. 26-29.
