    At least five individuals have a bit more money in their pockets, since purchasing Maine lottery scratch tickets this year.
    Winners have been plentiful in the Maine State Lottery’s Winners’ Showcase, including those who purchased tickets in Fort Fairfield, Caribou, Sherman Mills and Presque Isle.

    The biggest winner of late, Marilyn Argraves, of Fort Fairfield, turned a $5 investment into $100,000 when she purchased a 35th Anniversary Celebration $5 instant ticket at the Fort Fairfield One Stop.
    The Maine State Lottery also noted several local $10,000 winners on their website, www.mainelottery.com. Among the local winners were:
• Leo Albert, of Sherman, purchased a $2 BINGO instant ticket at Kelley’s in Sherman Mills and won $10,000;
• Robert Levesque, of Caribou, purchased a $10 $250,000 Money Mania instant ticket at Dodo’s Market in Caribou, earning $10,000 for his effort;
• Glenn Nadeau, of Caribou, purchased a $5 Ticket to Ride instant ticket at R & J’s Market in Fort Fairfield and won $10,000; and
• A yet-to-be-identified individual purchased a $20 instant ticket at Bradley’s Citgo in Presque Isle, earning $10,000 for their investment.
    Officials with the Maine State Lottery urges participants to play responsibly.
