Sally’s still sassy

Sally is one of seven young feral kittens currently being socialized at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) foster home. Sally is about 14 weeks old and has made great progress in being tamed; she will be considered for adoption within another week.

“It is the mission of HHPR to help domesticated stray and abandoned cats as well as to assist in the rehabilitation of young feral kittens (kittens whose mothers have been abandoned by humans and have had to turn wild to survive),” said HHPR President Norma Milton. Feral adult cats brought to the HHPR are leukemia tested, spayed/neutered, cleared of parasites and given routine shots before they are either returned to their original site, (if a feeder is available to provide proper nourishment), or released to a compassionate and responsible area farmer for rodent patrol in his horse or cow barns. The young feral felines are sent to a feral foster volunteer for taming.
