Presque Isle Youth Hockey is looking for adults interested in coaching or helping out with its six levels of youth hockey teams.

boys win season opener
CARIBOU — The Caribou Middle School boys soccer team opened its season last Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over Fort Fairfield. The Tigers led 2-1 early in the second half, but the Vikings came back with a pair of unanswered goals to collect the win.
Leading Caribou were Dayne Savage and Michael Hunter, both with a goal and an assist. Colby Holdsworth also had a goal for Caribou, while Paul Hanson had an assist. Also playing well offensively were Mitch St. Peter, Riley McDuffie and Brendan Cyr. Defensive stalwarts were Donovan Savage, Mason Huck, Austin Griffeth and Taylor Thibodeau.
Ethan Plourde made several saves in net for the Vikings.

Cornerstone to hold
golf tourney at CCC
The Cornerstone Classic Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at Caribou Country Club.
This standard three-person 18-hole scramble will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit programs at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Presque Isle. For information about prizes, registration and more, call 769-9474.
