Girls soccer squads have been busy over the past week and the Washburn Beavers have really turned some heads.

The Beavers, under the guidance of Marcie Barbarula, are off to a hot start with an impressive 4-0 record. Fort Fairfield (3-2) and Caribou (1-0) have also played well early on. Limestone-MSSM (1-2) got its first win of the season Monday versus Hodgdon.

The following is a recap of girls games played through Monday, Aug. 23.
Fort Fairfield 5, Easton 3 — At Easton Monday, Logan Bubar scored a pair of goals to spark Fort Fairfield to victory. Janae Libby, Lindsey York and Kacie York also had solo goals for the Tigers, while Keegan Watt and Kylie Plourde had assists.
Carla Halvorson had two goals for Easton, while Megan Frank added a solo goal.
Katy Donovan made six saves on 18 shots for Fort Fairfield, while Haley Ambrose made eight saves on 21 shots for the Bears.
Limestone-MSSM 2, Hodgdon 0 — At Limestone Monday, Amanda Allen and Daniele Pelkey each scored a goal to lift the Eagles past Hodgdon. Allen also added an assist. Autumn Beauchamp earned the shutout for the Eagles, stopping nine of 10 shots. Kimberly Levesque had 24 saves on 26 shots for Hodgdon.
Van Buren 3, Limestone-MSSM 1 — At Van Buren Friday, Stephanie Leighton scored the lone Eagle goal in a loss to the Crusaders. Parise Rossignol had a pair of goals, while Haley Lizotte added a solo shot for Van Buren. Kristy Learnard and Chantal Rioux each had an assist for Van Buren.
Ashlie Wilson made 16 saves on 20 shots for the Crusaders, while Beauchamp had 22 saves on 29 shots for the Eagles.
Fort Fairfield 6, Hodgdon 1 — At Hodgdon Friday, Bubar scored three goals as the Tigers soared past Hodgdon. Libby and Kylie Plourde each had a goal and an assist for Fort Fairfield, while Lindsey Graves added a solo goal. McKensie Palmer scored the lone goal for Hodgdon.
Donovan had eight saves in goal for the Tigers, while Kimberly Levesque stopped 11 shots.
Washburn 4, Central Aroostook 1 — At Washburn Friday, Kennedy Churchill scored a pair of second-half goals to spark the Beavers past Central Aroostook. Carmen Bragg and Lindsey Blackstone each had a goal, while Carsyn Koch had two assists for the Beavers.
Marissa Anthony scored an unassisted goal for the Panthers.

Rayah Saucier made six saves on 10 shots for Washburn, while Paige Garrison had 17 saves on 29 shots for the Panthers.
Caribou 4, Madawaska 0 — At Caribou Friday, the Vikings opened the season with a shutout over Madawaska. Jamie Martin, Jenna Selander, Katelynn Tardie and Olivia Sleeper each had one goal for the Vikings. Martin and Samantha Murchison each had one assist.
“We were up 1-0 at the half, but had some good opportunities to score,” Caribou coach Todd Albert said. “I knew if we continued to put the pressure on that we would be able to get some goals. I think we had good possession and passed the ball well. Defense was able to limit Madawaska to six shots.”
Morgan Swan saved 4 of 6 shots for Caribou, while Amanda Nadeau saved 19 of 35 shots for Madawaska.
Washburn 5, Easton 1 —At Washburn Wednesday, Aug. 18, Sarah Sjoberg and Carson Koch netted two goals apiece to lead Washburn past Easton. Nicole Olson also scored a goal for the Beavers. Carmen Bragg posted two assists, while Lindsay Blackstone had one.
Halvorson scored an unassisted goal for Easton.
Saucier stopped 12 of 13 shots for Washburn, while Ambrose made 15 saves on 21 shots.
Central Aroostook 3, Fort Fairfield 2 — At Fort Fairfield Wednesday, Aug. 18, Vicki McIntyre scored two goals to lead Central Aroostook past Fort Fairfield. Brea York also tallied a goal in the first half for the Panthers while McIntyre also collected an assist.
Logan Bubar netted a goal for Fort Fairfield off an assist from Kaitlyn Kinsey.
Paige Garrison made 10 saves on 23 shots for the Panthers, while Donovan stopped six of 11 shots for the Tigers.
Madawaska 5, Central Aroostook 0 — At Mars Hill Tuesday, Aug. 17, the Panthers were shut out by visiting Madawaska, a Class C squad. Olivia Pelletier had three goals for the Owls. Garrison had 10 saves on 19 shots for the Panthers.
