The Limestone-MSSM golf team will compete in Friday’s Aroostook County Championship at Portage Hills Country Club.
The team consists of nine players – seniors Aaron St. Pierre and Josh Forsman, junior Shane Flanigan, freshman Meghan Flanigan, sophomore Austin Dow, freshman Tyler Morgan, sophomore Nick Whitehead, junior Julia Weatherhead and junior Mariah Morgan.
According to coach Tom Albert, Forsman, a four-year player, and freshman Meghan Flanigan “both hit the ball straight and have good short games so if they play to their potential they should have no problems qualifying individually for states.”
Otherwise, the Eagles are a young and experienced squad.
“We work on the rules of the game, improving their swings and just having fun,” Albert said, “because when all is said and done, that’s the important thing.”
