A successful backpack drive organized by the Limestone Rotary Club resulted in the recent donation of 70 backpacks to the Caswell and Limestone schools to be distributed among students with a need for a new backpack. From Hannah Montana and Tinkerbell to Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk themed bags, students will have an easier time carting their textbooks to and from school in style and comfort. Larry Worcester, assistant principal of the Limestone Community School, was present at the club’s last meeting on Sept. 9 to receive the backpacks. Displaying the bookbags donated by the community were, from left Limestone Rotarian Amanda Brooker, Worcester, Limestone Rotary Club President Dr. Dottie Martin and Limestone Rotarian Pete Huntress.
