The splendor of the fall foliage is upon us. What a perfect time to enjoy the mountains, hills and valleys surrounding VaJoWa’s layout. The course continues to be in great condition. Make your plans to enjoy a round soon. We are offering an October special. Play golf for $2 per hole, cart rental included. price includes a shared cart rental.

Both Men’s Night (Tuesday at 4 p.m.) and Couples golf (Sunday at 3 p.m.) continue to have great participation. The women are also playing Tuesdays at 4 p.m. on the opposite nine from the men. If you would like to play in any of the weekly events just show up or call five minutes before teeoff and we will make sure you get in.
Steve Edwards seems to be the player to draw on Men’s Night, as he has finished first or tied for first the last three weeks. Steve has played some really good golf this summer including a couple of mid-70s in senior tournaments.
In couples golf this week, finishing first were Stuart Kelly, Carol Blood, Valerie Powers and Ted  Pettengill. Second went to Becky Kelly, Bev Osborn, Betty Smallwood and Pam Oliver. Rounding  out the top three teams were Jon Smallwood, Sara Douglas, Ralph Powers and Sandy Newman. I hear that Ms. Newman does a nice job of utilizing her first name!
