Kindergarten students of Mrs. DeWitt and Mrs. McCarthy at Mill Pond School were visited by Lee-Rae Oliver to discuss the field trip that the students would be taking to her farm. She talked to the students about their cow farm, read a story and told what they would be seeing on the farm. The students were greeted at the farm by Matthew and Lee Rae. They watched Mr. Oliver milk the cows and how important it was to keep the cows clean so that the milk would be safe to drink. The children had a chance to feed the cows and the horse, which they really enjoyed. They then went on a nature hike and enjoyed the beautiful view from Westford Hill, while enjoying Mrs. Oliver’s homemade cookies.
