    PRESQUE ISLE & MARS HILL – Daniel P. Brooks, 55, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010, at his residence. He was born April 6, 1955, in Mars Hill, the son of Cedric Brooks and Shirley (Drake) Brooks Howard.
    Daniel grew up in Mars Hill and graduated from Central Aroostook High School in 1973, where he excelled in Future Farmers of America. He worked for Cavendish Farms as a welder, but also did many other tasks. He was an avid farmer and loved to grow things. Danny enjoyed snowmobiling, relaxing, but most of all, being with his family, especially the grandchildren.
    In addition to his mother, Shirley Howard of Holden, he leaves behind his wife, Angela (Legassie) Brooks of Presque Isle; a son, Jeremy Brooks of Portland; a stepson, Scott McEntee of New Hampshire; stepdaughter, Melissa McEntee of New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Lance and Logan Thibodeau, and Ethan McEntee. He is also survived by five siblings: Timmy Brooks and his wife, Maureen of Higganum, CT, Tommy Brooks and his wife, Melissa of Fairbanks, Alaska, Christy Charette and her husband, John of Standish, Julie Hersom and her husband, Marty of Litchfield, and David Brooks of Eddington; as well as several nieces and nieces.
    He was predeceased by his father, Cedric Brooks.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev.
