    Dickinson, Mary M., 94, October 15, 2010.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home.  Interment to be held in the St. Benedict’s Cemetery, Benedicta.
    HOWLAND – Mary M. Dickinson, 94, of Sherman Station, died Oct. 15, 2010 in Howland at Cummings Nursing Home. She was born March 17, 1916 in Sherman, the oldest daughter of Andrew and Annie (Dubay) Gantnier.
    She attended schools in Sherman and Benedicta. She led a full and productive life as a loving daughter, wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, step-grandmother, friend and careiver to many.
    She worked at the Texaco Station for many years where she not only served food, but gave loving advice to her young co-workers. She belonged to Senior Citizens and especially enjoying the Secret Pal Program with the third graders at Christmas time, many of whom stayed in touch with her for a long time afterward. She was the queen of Skip-bo, playing cards with her special friends several times a week. Mary was a devoted Catholic attending St. Benedict’s Church her whole life.
    She is survived by a son, James Ingalls, and his wife Mary of Greene; a daughter, Paula Lyford, and her husband Bernard of Vail, AZ; a step-daughter, Nina Roussel of Bedford, NH; six grandchildren and four step-grandchilden whom she loved very much; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters; Leah Potvin, Modeste Deskus, Elsie Karen, and Faye and her husband Phil
Mitchell; many nieces and nephews and many friends – too many to mention but you know who you are.
    She was predeased by her parents; husbands Durward Ingalls and Donald Dickinson; sisters Rita Nelson and Phoebe McNally; and brothers Joseph, Thomas and Philip Gantnier. and a daughter-in-law Earline Ingalls.
    Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Fri. Oct 22, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Benedicta where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Sat, with Father Joel Cyr celebrant. Interment will be in St. Benedict’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Benedict’s Church Benedicta, ME 04733. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home.
