HONORED — On Oct. 23, the American Legion Post No. 52 honored one of its oldest members at a harvest supper at the snowmobile club in Oakfield. George B. Clark, a WWII veteran was honored for 60-plus years’ membership with Legion Post No. 52 in Oakfield. The Adjutant, James Burton, presented Clark with a 60-year certificate and lapel pin to commemorate the occasion. Clark is one of the last-known surviving members of the Oakfield American Legion Baseball team of 1946 to 1948; they did what no other baseball team had ever done or have done since. They held the Aroostook County Baseball Championship for two years in a row.
