PRESQUE ISLE — The Maine Department of Labor cordially invites all area veterans to attend a special Informational Workshop for Veterans” on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Presque Isle CareerCenter, 66 Spruce St., from 9 a.m. to noon.
There will be one session only starting at 9 a.m. Subject experts will present information covering:
• VA Health Benefits and Compensation;
• Caribou VA Clinic;
• Services available from vet centers;
• Services available from the Bureau of Veterans Services;
• Maine Veterans Home in Caribou;
• Local VFW commander;
• Local American Legion commander; and
• Maine’s CareerCenter resources.
Stephen J. Gagnon, DVOP, Aroostook veterans’ representative at the CareerCenter, said it’s critical that area veterans know of their entitlements and this workshop is the vehicle to make that happen. Spouses, life partners, friends and family are highly encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be available as well.
