Short Bio: I was born and raised in Aroostook County. I joined the U.S. Army in June of 1999 and attended basic training in Fort Sill, Okla. and completed my advanced individual training in battlefield communications in Fort Gordon, Ga. In February, 2000.
    My tour of duty in the 121st Signal Battalion, 1st Infantry Division was in Kitzingen, Germany, where I attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5). In September of 2003, I completed my tour of duty and moved back home to the U.S. I applied to the Houlton Police Department in late 2003 and was hired in February of 2004.
    I then attended the 6th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLETP), which I graduated from in June of 2004. I then became a Field Training Officer in 2006 and was promoted to Detective and later to Patrol Sergeant. I received specialized training in various topics, including “interview and interrogation,” “forensic statement analysis,” “hostage/crisis negotiations,” “patrol response to suspicious death and homicide scenes,” and “explosive tactical breaching” among others. I hold several instructor certificiates, including taser instructor, interactive use of force, prevention, and response to suicide bombing incidents and drug indentficiation.
