The Aroostook Football League held its annual end-of-year banquet last Saturday.
Houlton Knight Caleb Black was named the AFL’s Offensive Player of the Year, while the Aroostook Huskies’ Jordan Mitchell garnered the Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Ethan Smith of the BCH Knights was named the League’s Most Valuable Player.
The Houlton Knights were officially crowned the Maine State Eight-Man Football League Champions for 2010, while the Aroostook Huskies were awarded the Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by the League referees.
